   This temple is situated about 12 km south of Thrissur Town in Kerala. It is on the Thrissur-Kodungallur State Highway. Thrissur is the nearest railway station. The nearest airport is Kochi (Nedumbassery Airport) which is almost 60 km from the temple. Urakam, where the temple is situated is a village, Hotels and lodges are not much in this village. However, there are plenty of lodges and hotels of different tariffs are available at Trichur.Administration

    Festivals of the temple are administrated by Urakam Kshethra Kshema Samity under the over all supervision of  Cochin Devaswom Board.  The Samithy also take the maintanence and renovation of the temple with the co-operation and support of devotees.  The Samithi also has made video CD’s of Pooram and Photos of Ammathiruvadi.  Interested devotees can contact the Samithy for the details in the following address.  The Contributions may also be send to this address.

With the blessings of Urakathammathiruvadi , Urakathammathiuvadi kshethra upadeska samithi has started the renovation yanjha in urakthamathiruvadi temple.  The total budget for this noble purpose is estimated to be Rs.40 lakshs.  Urakathammathiruvadi kshethra upadeska samithi has successfully completed many ventures in the temple, only with the kind hearted support from the devotees of valayadheeswari ,like you.  We once again approaching you for this noble case of renovation yanjha.
We have already completed some major repairs and new works.  We will be starting the construction of an Alankara Gopuram on the entrance of the temple in which the plan and estimate has prepared which comes to Rs.18 lakhs.  Only with the whole hearted support of devotees like you in cash and kind, we will be able to complete this project.
